A group of friends who enjoy promoting Polish culture through song and music got together on 3rd March 2005 to form Po Prostu Nowa Biesiada. Everyone in the group has at one time or another in their life belonged to a Polish folklore group and this mutual enthusiasm has brought them together to work hard, and play hard, in producing a style of performance unique to this country.
Each member of the group is no stranger to the stage with a combined performance count running into four figures. They have performed in festivals, national and local events, weddings and other social gatherings on stages, and for audiences, both large and small, in this country and in Europe. Combined, they have the experience and versatility to perform a wide range of musical styles, from the religious and patriotic, to well-known folk and much-loved drinking songs.
Although amateur in status, the preparation, attitude and performance level of everyone in the group, and the group as a whole, is of a professional standard. The group has made an excellent start with acclaimed performances to their credit and has many plans for the future. With a healthy determination, the future can only get better.
